Lately I feel as though I've been a bit of a hair chameleon, having way more fun with my hair this summer than ever before. And after much consideration I decided to go pink for the summer, partnering with Matrix to try out their new Color Sync collection called Watercolors. Since I recently dyed my hair blonde I was drawn to their Quartz Rose color, which is a subtle pastel shade of pink that I thought would compliment my skin tone.
I have to say the first time I saw it, it had more of a reddish undertone than I had expected. However, it’s only a demi-color, which means it lasts for up to 20 shampoos, so after a couple washes at home it lightened up leaving me with me with this really cool soft pastel color that I love! Since the color isn’t permanent, it’s perfect for the summer, or for anyone wanting to test out new colors.
For this look I wanted a lot of great texture, so I used the new Style Link Minerals collection to style my hair. I started with their dry shampoo called Play Back and then worked in their Mineral Booster to work in the texture. The heat is crazy intense here in the city so these products have really helped out to keep my hair from looking dull and lifeless.
